It is undeniable that the Philippines is the World’s Leading Country Tourism Destination 2020 in the 10th Uzakrota Global Travel Awards. With 1733 votes, topping another beautiful country Turkey garnering 1730, and Dominican Republic 915, the Philippines becomes the World’s Leading Country Tourism Destination 2020.
Joebert Opulencia, President of Orientours (New York) who was actively encouraging Filipinos on his Facebook across the world to vote for the Philippines as World’s Leading Country Tourism Destination and World’s Leading Tourist Board in the 10th Uzakrota Global Travel Awards.
Speaking to THEPHILBIZNEWS from his office in New York on February 7, Sunday afternoon (Manila Time), Opulencia has already expressed his confidence that the Philippines will win the World’s Leading Country Tourism Destination.
“I am confident we will win this. Definitely neck and neck with Turkey because Turkey is a beautiful country like the Philippines, Monsi, and you know that because you have been there,” Opulencia said.
“That is why when I asked you if there is one country that you want to see again, you told me it’s Turkey”, Opulencia added.
In a chat conversation with Opulencia who announced on his Facebook account that the Philippines won the 10th Uzakrota Global Travel Awards World’s Leading Country Tourism Destination 2020 he underscored, “Now, that we bagged the much-deserved award, I am very confident that this will be the beginning of the rebound of our entire tourism industry. We have to work together, especially the people in the government to support.”
“We need to encourage more friends, relatives, and associates to visit the Philippines across the different group segments. There are travels for families, and there are also for friends. This is very important in marketing the Philippines as World’s Leading Country Tourism Destination 2020.
When asked what he felt for winning the 10th Uzakrota Global Travel Awards World’s Leading Country Tourism Destination 2020 since he was very active in inviting his friends on Facebook to vote for the Philippines to be the World’s Leading Country Tourism Destination 2020 and World’s Leading Tourist Board, Opulencia said, “I am happy. This is not for me, but for our country. While I am away from the Philippines in 1984 and decided to base here in New York, I always keep in mind our country. We have a lot of potentials and now is the time to tell the world and find out why it is “More Fun in the Philippines”. We have so many destinations to brag about, and I am sure once they visit the Philippines, they will see why we won as the World’s Leading Country Tourism Destination 2020.
