Ensuring doing their share to prevent the spread of coronavirus as the country’s economy slowly opened, Nissan in the Philippines, in partnership with Habitat for Humanity Philippines, distributed hygiene and sanitation kits to a local community in Brgy. Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City to promote health and hygiene practices to curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Engaging communities through programs like this is one way for Nissan to stay true to our commitment to enrich people’s lives. We are grateful that our long-standing partnership with Habitat for Humanity has helped us address the need of these communities to prevent the spread of COVID-19 by promoting hygienic and sanitary practices,” says Nissan Philippines President and Managing Director Atsushi Najima.

This outreach activity is the latest from the brand’s community engagements for 2020. Nissan’s recent outreach activities in the Philippines include a donation of three Nissan Navaras to the Philippine Red Cross in response to the Taal volcano eruption in February, meal donations to medical frontliners fighting the COVID-19 pandemic in various hospitals in Metro Manila, and typhoon relief donation for families affected by Typhoons Rolly and Ulysses in November.
