Emirates takes pride in its accomplishment as it recently made the record for being the first airline to operate the world’s largest commercial passenger aircraft to Clark International Airport, in a recent one-off service that utilized its iconic Airbus A380.

The iconic A380 Dubai-Clark service arrived at 3:23 PM on August 19 and was welcomed by key industry officials including the Department of Transportation Secretary, Arthur Tugade, as well as representatives of the airport executive management team. The government officials along with members of the media were then given a guided tour of the A380 by Emirates cabin crew.

“We have been serving our customers in the Philippines for 30 years and, since we introduced this iconic aircraft to our fleet in 2008, Filipino fans have particularly chosen destinations that are served by the Emirates A380 as they enjoy its spaciousness, comfort and best-in-class features and amenities like shower spa and on-board lounge. This time, we wanted to give our customers the opportunity to have the same experience on the Dubai-Clark route,” said Emirates Country Manager for the Philippines, Satish Sethi, who was part of the team that welcomed the arrival of the special flight.

For his part, the DOTr Chief texted THEPHILBIZNEWS and said, “We congratulate the Emirates for their milestone, and with the advent of this Emirates A380 airbus, we are happy for them as we know many Filipino go to Dubai and also use one of the world’s busiest airport. This will provide comfort to their passengers, and this breakthrough is a feather on the cap of the flag carrier airline of the United Arab Emirates.”

“I checked it and saw how sophisticated the A380 airbus when I went inside the plane and given a tour,” Secretary Tugade ended.
