Filipino students seeking to pursue higher education in Europe have until March 31, 2026 to apply for the Romanian Government’s annual scholarship program for foreign citizens.
The Embassy of Romania has announced that the scholarship program, offered through Romania’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is now accepting applications from students in non-European Union countries for bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD programs in accredited Romanian universities.
The program covers most academic fields, except Medicine, Dental Medicine, and Pharmacy.
Bachelor’s and master’s degree programs under the scholarship will be conducted in the Romanian language, in line with the government’s efforts to promote Romanian culture and heritage. Successful applicants who are not yet proficient in Romanian will undergo a one-year preparatory language course prior to starting their university studies.
Applications must be submitted online through the official Study in Romania scholarship platform. The results of the selection process are expected to be released around July 15, 2026.
The Embassy encouraged aspiring scholars to take advantage of the opportunity to earn a degree recognized across Europe and beyond, while immersing themselves in Romanian language, culture, and academic life. The program also offers Filipino students a chance to join a growing community of Filipino scholars in Romania.
Interested applicants may submit their documents through the Study in Romania online portal before the March 31 deadline.
