Honda Foundation, Inc. (HFI) strengthened its corporate social responsibility efforts in 2026 by continuing its collaboration with Tamang Ride PH, launching another run of the “Kids on Safety” program aimed at promoting road safety awareness among young children.
The initiative opened January 31 at Tanza Elementary School in Navotas City, where children aged 7 to 10 participated in a two-weekend learning program designed to instill safe road habits at an early age. As part of the activity, HFI donated 100 helmets, underscoring the importance of discipline, proper protective gear, and responsible behavior on the road.
The Kids on Safety program delivers age-appropriate lessons through practical, scenario-based learning. Its curriculum is based on Tamang Ride PH’s road safety module for children, developed from the Honda Safety Driving Center (HSDC) framework and enhanced with elements from HSDC’s Teen Smart program.
Honda said the program reflects its long-term commitment to community safety and mobility education, aligned with the company’s global goal of achieving zero collision fatalities involving Honda vehicles by 2050, with a target of reducing fatalities by 50% by 2030.
Tamang Ride PH is a nationwide road safety movement focused on building safer communities, particularly for children and new drivers. HFI joined the initiative as a Road Safety Ambassador in 2025, with HSDC supporting the development of educational materials. The foundation’s members include Honda Cars Philippines, Inc., Honda Philippines, Inc., Honda Parts Manufacturing Corp., and Honda Trading Philippines Ecozone Corp.
