His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, has accepted an invitation from His Excellency Donald J. Trump, President of the United States of America, to join as a Founding Member of the Peace Board that the US President intends to establish, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The initiative aims to contribute to peace efforts in the Middle East while advancing a new approach to resolving conflicts worldwide. The Peace Board will be composed of a select group of internationally recognized leaders committed to promoting security, stability, and prosperity for future generations.
The invitation reflects international recognition of the enlightened leadership of His Majesty the King and his standing as a key global peace actor. It also underscores the confidence and trust the Moroccan Sovereign enjoys with the President of the United States and the international community.
Welcoming President Trump’s vision and commitment to promoting peace, His Majesty accepted the invitation, with Morocco set to ratify the founding charter of the Peace Board.
The Peace Board will take the legal form of an international organization focused on promoting stability, restoring governance, and ensuring lasting peace in regions affected by or threatened by conflict. Its mandate emphasizes practical cooperation, effective action, and results-oriented partnerships, with participation strictly by invitation from the President of the United States.
Morocco also welcomed the announcement of the second phase of President Trump’s comprehensive peace plan, as well as the formation of the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza as a temporary transitional body.
Under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Morocco reaffirms its steadfast commitment to a just, comprehensive, and lasting peace in the Middle East, including the establishment of a Palestinian state within the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, living side by side in peace with Israel.
