The Philippines has rolled out a new student-industry learning initiative aimed at equipping young Filipinos with skills aligned with the fast-evolving demands of business and technology-driven industries.

Through BOI’s Academe-Industry Matching (AIM!) Program, the Student-Industry Learning Immersion Program (SILIP), launched on December 2, 2025 at Accenture Philippines’ Client Experience Center in Uptown Bonifacio Global City, introduced senior high school students from Pasig Science High School to real-world applications of artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and data analytics. The activity featured career discussions, interactive demonstrations, and a tour of Accenture’s innovation hub to help students understand how digital technologies are transforming workplaces.

The program is part of the government’s broader effort to align education with the needs of priority growth sectors such as AI, smart manufacturing, semiconductors, green metals, high-tech agriculture, renewable energy, and cybersecurity. It seeks to narrow the gap between classroom instruction and actual industry requirements while guiding students toward future-ready career paths.

SILIP operates under three strategic pillars. The first, K4F-PH (Kids for the Future of Philippine Industrialization), is an early awareness program with the Department of Education that orients learners on emerging industries and relevant academic tracks. The second, TRANSCEND (Transformational Skills-based Career Enrichment and Development), promotes industry-responsive training and Enterprise-Based Education and Training (EBET) in collaboration with TESDA and partner institutions. The third, ELEVATE (Enhance Learning Ecosystem and Value-Adding Competencies Towards Employment), works with CHED to strengthen academe-industry linkages and produce highly skilled, employment-ready graduates.

During the launch, BOI Director for Infrastructure and Service Industries Mary Ann E. Raganit welcomed the students and emphasized the shared responsibility of government and the private sector in preparing the next generation.

“Take this opportunity to ask questions, explore, and imagine your place in this world of AI, cloud technologies, and data analytics. These are not just jobs of the future but careers where Filipinos can thrive and lead. With the right mindset, you can help shape the next wave of Philippine innovation,” Raganit said.

Accenture Associate Director for Recruitment and Strategic Sourcing Japhet Paragsa encouraged students to continuously build skills beyond the classroom.

“I hope that when you step out of this building, you work on skills that will truly help your future—so that one day we meet again, not as visitors but as reinventors,” he said.

More SILIP runs are expected across the country in partnership with leading companies, reinforcing the national push to nurture a competitive, innovation-ready Filipino workforce.
