US-based defense supply chain firm Anglicotech LLC has reaffirmed its commitment to invest in the Aurora Pacific Economic Zone and Freeport Authority (APECO), signaling continued confidence in the ecozone’s potential as a strategic hub for defense, security, and logistics-related operations.
Virginia-based Anglicotech confirmed its sustained interest following a high-level meeting in Pasay City between APECO President and Chief Executive Officer Atty. Gil G. Taway IV and Anglicotech CEO David Cooper on December 19, 2025. Discussions focused on the company’s long-term outlook in the Philippines and investment opportunities aligned with national security and regional stability.
The meeting underscored Anglicotech’s view of APECO as a strategic location capable of supporting defense-related services, logistics, and allied industries, particularly as the Philippines strengthens its security partnerships and infrastructure.
Anglicotech also outlined plans for a measured, multi-phase investment strategy, building on its current operational footprint while positioning for expansion as market conditions and policy environments continue to mature.
Both sides emphasized the importance of close alignment with government priorities, sound governance, and sustainable economic development as key pillars for defense-sector investments.
“Our engagement with Anglicotech reflects a shared understanding that defense-related investments require stability, clear policy direction, a long-term perspective, and strong governance,” Taway said. “These are precisely the areas we are strengthening under APECO’s ongoing reforms.”
Taway reaffirmed APECO’s commitment to maintaining a conducive investment environment, supporting responsible defense and security industries, and fostering partnerships that drive economic growth and job creation in Aurora.
Prior to the meeting, Cooper, together with Anglicotech Philippines Country Manager Edmund Rustia, conducted a site inspection of the APECO ecozone in Casiguran, Aurora, on August 16.
Anglicotech has been operating in Subic since 2024, providing logistics, C5ISR (Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance), and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) support to both the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the United States Department of Defense.
