Thus asked Hungarian Ambassador to the Philippines Titanilla Tóth during “an export promotion business lunch” at Shangri-La The Fort last Thursday (November 20).

There, the Embassy of Hungary in Manila showcased its poultry and gourmet delights and brought together importers, distributors, hoteliers, and restaurant representatives from the Philippines to get an exclusive taste of Hungary’s best poultry and gourmet delights.

From rich, flavorful paté to tender roast duck and sustainably raised chicken, each product underscored Hungary’s dedication to high-quality farming, traceability, and food safety.

Toth believes that “while today is a business promotion, the event is equally a gastro-cultural exchange,” noting its clear objective — “First of all, eat a good one… but also demonstrate through alternative days and experience that Hungarian products offer exceptional quality, reliability, and volume.”

The envoy has also invited the Filipino representatives present at the luncheon to join the delegation to Hungary scheduled next month. “We are ready to connect you with the Philippine institution coordinating the delegation, which will be invited for this third and fourth December to Hungary on the margin of the Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation (JCEC) meeting [to] held in Hungary,” she said.

Relatedly, the embassy’s Head of the Commercial Section, Ms. Vivien Józsa, presented the Hungarian business companies that are interested in bringing their products to the Philippine market. These include the following:

Józsa also told THEPHILBIZNEWS that currently, there are restrictions on importing Hungarian sausages. Still, efforts are being made to bring them in.

From bilateral meetings to luncheon gatherings, the event ultimately reinforced Hungary’s position as a trusted partner for high-quality poultry, poised to bring new depth, flavor, and craftsmanship to the country’s gastro-diplomatic ties.
