Globe’s third-quarter 2025 results highlight a structural shift redefining the mobile landscape, as accelerating global trends toward data-first, 5G-powered digital ecosystems fuel sustained growth. Mobile remains Globe’s most resilient revenue engine, driven by rising customer engagement and expanding adoption of high-speed data services.
Mobile data revenues reached a record ₱25.2 billion in Q3 2025, supporting the company’s sequential topline gains. Globe ended September with 63.1 million mobile subscribers, up 5% year-on-year, as data usage continued to dominate consumer habits. Data now accounts for 86% of all mobile service revenues, underscoring its pivotal role in the daily digital activities of Filipinos.
Globe’s network investments remain central to meeting this rising demand. As of end-September, the company has deployed 1,375 new cell sites, upgraded 8,699 mobile sites, and rolled out 877 additional 5G sites nationwide. These enhancements have expanded coverage, increased capacity, and improved overall user experience, supporting stronger monetization even as total data traffic held steady.
Driving world-class connectivity
“This quarter validates our strategy anchored on world-class connectivity and disciplined capital allocation, which continue to deliver sustainable results,” said Globe President and CEO Carl Cruz. “The global pivot to mobile-first, data-centric ecosystems is reshaping customer behavior, and our network readiness positions us to capture this shift. Mobile will remain the backbone of our growth as we continue investing in customer-focused innovations and inclusive digital services.”
Globe’s sustained push for data-driven infrastructure also aligns with its broader commitment to national development, enabling better access to digital tools, financial platforms, and online services. With outdoor 5G coverage now reaching 98.71% of Metro Manila and 98.31% of major VisMin cities, Globe is set to support the next wave of digital expansion—from streaming and e-commerce to cloud-based enterprise solutions.
As both global and local markets converge around high-speed, ubiquitous mobile data, Globe aims to maintain its growth momentum through the rest of the year while keeping disciplined execution toward achieving positive free cash flow by end-2025 before dividends.
