Araneta City officially ushered in the holiday season with the lighting of its iconic giant Christmas tree, a beloved tradition that continues to enchant visitors year after year.
On November 6, the City of First illuminated its towering Christmas centerpiece in a star-studded ceremony that marked the start of its 2025 celebration, Christmas Glows in the City.

This year’s tree—built on memories and lit by hope—dazzles in festive red and gold, adorned with over 3,000 pine garlands, 8,000 twinkling lights, and colorful ornaments. Standing proudly between the Smart Araneta Coliseum and Fiesta Carnival, it remains the heart and symbol of Christmas at Araneta City.
The celebration featured performances and appearances by some of today’s brightest stars, including Vice Ganda, Joshua Garcia, Pinoy Big Brother collab edition winners Mika Salamanca and Brent Manalo, Bianca de Vera, Klarisse de Guzman, P-POP group BGYO, and Tawag ng Tanghalan alumni Ian Manibale, Miah, and Brian Chong. Also in attendance were Quezon City and Barangay officials, Araneta Group executives, business partners, and the reigning Binibining Pilipinas Queens. The event was hosted by Alexa Ilacad and Jeremy G.
Adding excitement to the evening was the launch of the Dashing Through the Glow car raffle promo, where every ₱1,500 single receipt from participating Araneta City establishments entitles customers to a raffle entry for a chance to win a Jetour T2 Lighting I-DM 2025 Plug-In Hybrid Electric SUV. The promo runs until February 1, 2026.
First installed near the Big Dome entrance in 1981, Araneta City’s giant Christmas tree has become an enduring symbol of joy and togetherness. Having moved to different spots across the city through the years, it has now returned to its original home.
“This year may have brought challenges, but Christmas reminds us that hope always shines through,” said Marjorie Go, Vice President for Marketing of Araneta City. “We want to offer a place where people can reconnect with joyful memories and look forward to brighter days ahead.”

The festive spirit continues across Araneta City with beloved attractions and activities. The annual Parolan Bazaar near Farmer’s Garden offers a vibrant array of Christmas lights and decorations, while mall and office tower Christmas trees will be lit following the main event. The giant belén beside Farmer’s Plaza will be illuminated on November 14.
Guests can also look forward to weekend fireworks displays, choral performances, and the cheerful Santa Claus and Friends parade throughout November and December.
Holiday shopping is made merrier with the 11.11 Sale, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday Sale, offering great deals for early gift-hunters. And with more than 350 dining options across Araneta City, there’s always a place to share good food and warm company this joyous season.
