On its 65th anniversary, Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) unveiled a landmark partnership with New York–based Meridian, giving Filipinos access to their own US virtual bank accounts—without the need for a US address, Social Security Number, or residency.
Accessible through the RCBC Pulz app, the innovation allows Filipinos to receive US payroll instantly, get freelance payments faster, and enjoy direct family remittances from relatives in the US via simple local transfers—eliminating costly remittance fees and long delays.
“This isn’t just another feature—it’s a historic breakthrough,” said Lito Villanueva, RCBC Executive Vice President and Chief Innovation & Inclusion Officer. “As RCBC turns 65, we are giving Filipinos the power to directly connect with the US financial system.”
Meridian CEO William Haering added, “By linking RCBC to US payment rails, we’re making cross-border payments feel local—instant, seamless, and affordable.”
Celebrating six and a half decades of service, RCBC reinforces its reputation as the Philippines’ most awarded digital bank, marking its anniversary with a gift that transforms how Filipinos work, get paid, and support their families abroad.
