A delegation of Japanese lawmakers visited the Philippines from August 26–29, 2025, reaffirming the strong ties between the two countries through the work of the Organization for Industrial, Spiritual and Cultural Advancement International (OISCA).

House of Representatives members Koichi Tani, Shinji Inoue, and Takakazu Seto—all part of the Association of Japanese Diet Members Supporting OISCA—joined activities in Abra and Ilocos Sur, including tree planting under the Children’s Forest Program, site visits to agro-forestry and community forest projects, and courtesy calls with local leaders.
The visit concluded with a meeting with DENR Secretary Raphael P.M. Lotilla in Manila, where discussions centered on expanding collaboration in sustainable agriculture, environmental protection, and rural development.

OISCA, a Japan-headquartered NGO, has long partnered with the Philippines on projects promoting capacity building, sericulture, community empowerment, and environmental restoration—further strengthening the enduring Japan–Philippines friendship.
