MG Philippines recently staged the MG Hybrid Experience Drive, an exclusive event for its banking partners designed to showcase the cutting-edge capabilities of the All-New MG ZS Hybrid+ and New MG3 Hybrid+, alongside the brand’s advanced driver-assistance system, MG Pilot.

The event brought together 40 bank officers from some of the country’s most trusted financial institutions, including Banco de Oro Unibank (BDO), Bank of China (BOC), Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI), China Bank Savings, China Banking Corporation, EastWest Bank (EWB), Maybank, Philippine National Bank (PNB), Philippine Savings Bank (PSBank), Philtrust Bank, Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC), Security Bank Corporation (SBC), and Sterling Bank of Asia.
A Real-World Driving Experience
The drive kicked off at MG Greenhills, where participants were welcomed over breakfast and introduced to MG’s latest hybrid innovations and MG Pilot’s suite of safety technologies. By 9:30 a.m., the convoy rolled out onto EDSA, traversed Skyway and SLEX, and enjoyed the open roads of CALAX before tackling the scenic uphill climb to Tagaytay. This combination of urban congestion, highway cruising, and provincial roads gave participants an authentic experience of how MG hybrids perform in everyday Filipino driving conditions.

Upon arrival at Sinta Restaurant, a sanctuary-themed venue overlooking Taal Lake and Taal Volcano, guests were immersed in a setting that blended art, culture, and nature. The venue also features a mini-museum with works by nine National Artists, reinforcing MG’s appreciation for Filipino creativity and heritage.
Elevated Dining and Partnerships
Adding to the exclusivity of the experience, multi-awarded international chef Ariel Manuel prepared a curated four-course menu, complete with an MG-inspired welcome drink. Chef Manuel personally introduced each dish, elevating the dining experience while underscoring MG Philippines’ thoughtful approach in building lasting relationships with its partners.
Fuel Economy Challenge
A highlight of the day was the fuel economy challenge, where teams put MG’s hybrid vehicles to the test in real driving conditions. Results exceeded expectations: Security Bank topped the leaderboard with the MG ZS Hybrid+ delivering 25.6 km/L, despite traffic challenges. Bank of the Philippine Islands followed closely with 23.8 km/L in the MG ZS Hybrid+. EastWest Bank achieved 20.8 km/L in the MG3 Hybrid+.

These results underscore how MG hybrids are not just technologically advanced but also fuel-efficient and adaptable to Philippine roads, offering significant savings at the pump while contributing to eco-friendly mobility.
Safety and Smart Driving with MG Pilot
Participants also experienced MG Pilot, the brand’s advanced driver-assistance system. Demonstrations of Lane Departure Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Intelligent Speed Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Traffic Jam Assist highlighted how MG prioritizes safety, convenience, and driver confidence.
Driving Toward Smarter, Greener Mobility
Beyond test drives, the MG Hybrid Experience Drive reinforced MG Philippines’ commitment to strengthening partnerships with the banking sector. With collaborations focusing on faster loan approvals, attractive financing programs, and enhanced in-branch visibility, MG aims to make hybrid vehicles more accessible to Filipino motorists. By blending innovation, real-world performance, and strong industry collaboration, MG Philippines is charting the course for a smarter, greener, and more practical driving future in the country.
