Globe is setting its sights on a digitally connected future with INNOVANIA 2025: COSMIC NEXUS, its biggest technology and innovation summit yet. The event opened this week with a strong call for collaboration, sustainability, and AI-powered transformation to shape the cities of tomorrow.

At the summit’s kickoff, Globe President and CEO Carl Cruz, Mynt Chairman Ernest Cu, and international experts in urban planning and connectivity laid out strategies to bridge digital gaps and future-proof Philippine communities.

A fireside chat featuring DICT Secretary Henry Aguda, Bacolod Rep. Albee Benitez, ARTA Director General Ernesto Perez, Cruz, and Cu stressed that the Philippines’ journey toward smarter cities depends on national and local government support, private sector innovation, and global best practices. They also spotlighted forward-looking models such as neutral hosting and Zero Lease as tools to speed up nationwide connectivity.

More than just a showcase of technology, the summit presented Globe’s shift into becoming a full-scale digital solutions partner, advocating for financial inclusion, intelligent real estate, and sustainable city design.

Joel Agustin, Globe’s SVP for Service Planning and Engineering, summed up the company’s mission:

“We’re not just showcasing technology. We’re demonstrating how innovation shapes networks that deliver real solutions—solutions that improve daily life for every Filipino.”

Hands-on exhibits brought abstract ideas to life, from 5G and 6G evolution to robotics, AI, edge computing, digital twins, and satellite communications. Global players such as Huawei, Ericsson, Nokia, ZTE, Dell, and more joined the showcase, contributing to the conversation on building resilient digital infrastructure.

INNOVANIA 2025 also served as a platform for partnership-building and knowledge-sharing, encouraging entrepreneurs, students, researchers, and professionals to take part in shaping the Philippines’ smart city future.

At its core, the summit reflects Globe’s commitment to ensuring that the digital revolution leaves no one behind—pushing for a future where innovation doesn’t just connect networks, but connects lives.
