Vantage Energy, a retail electricity supplier (RES) under Meralco partnered with CVC Asia to support key Visayas-based companies into the Competitive Retail Electricity Market and enable greater efficiency, sustainability, and cost savings across CVC’s portfolio.
CVC Asia remains focused on its expansion in the Philippines through major stakes in Southeast Asia Retail Inc., operator of Landers Superstore, and FAST Services Corp., a core unit of FAST Logistics Group.
“This collaboration exemplifies how we engage with our investee companies to unlock meaningful, long-term value. By facilitating access to more sustainable and cost-efficient electricity, we are driving operational savings and resilience. At CVC, this reflects our commitment to investing with purpose, partnership, and performance,” said Brice Cu, Senior Managing Director and Country Head of CVC Philippines.
Under the agreements, Landers Bacolod and FAST Services’ Cebu cold chain facility will transition to CREM, which allows contestable customers with at least 500 kW demand to choose their electricity provider under more competitive market conditions.
“At Landers, saving on energy isn’t just good business—it’s a way to deliver greater value to our more than two million members. Lowering our operating costs enables us to pass on real savings to Filipino families,” said Bill Cummings, Deputy CEO of Landers.
Since 2016, Landers Superstore has expanded nationwide as a membership-only warehouse club offering international and local products, exclusive perks, fuel discounts, and competitive pricing in a modern retail format. Meanwhile, FAST Services provides integrated warehousing, distribution, and transport solutions that support seamless goods movement across the Philippines.
For Vantage Energy, being a retail electricity supplier under Meralco, the company is committed to deliver customized energy solutions for the retail and logistics sectors.
“This partnership is more than just a business arrangement—it is a strategic alliance grounded in a shared vision. By joining the ERC’s Customer Choice Programs, these companies are not only optimizing their energy portfolio but also taking the lead in embracing progressive energy models that benefit both their organizations and the wider community,” said Ernesto M. Cabral, President of Vantage Energy.
Through this collaboration, Vantage Energy and CVC Asia aim to set a benchmark for how sustainability, efficiency, and long-term business growth can converge in the evolving Philippine energy landscape.
