Believing that sustainability is a way of life, the triumvirate of Meralco, Vietnam’s V-Green Global Charging Station Development Corporation and Green and Smart Mobility (Green GSM) joined forces and took a bold step toward a cleaner and more sustainable future.
Under the partnership, the three companies will jointly develop electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, establish electric taxi hubs, and promote the large-scale adoption of EVs nationwide. The collaboration also includes technical cooperation and knowledge sharing to build a reliable, accessible, and future-ready EV ecosystem.
“This partnership brings together our collective strength in infrastructure, technology, and experience that will redefine our cities and our communities,” said Meralco Chairman and CEO Manuel V. Pangilinan. “We are committed to helping build an ecosystem that is sustainable, inclusive, and designed to give Filipinos the future of transportation—beyond Metro Manila and across the archipelago.”
V-Green CEO Nguyen Thanh Duong highlighted that the partnership is a key milestone in accelerating Southeast Asia’s green mobility revolution. Green GSM CEO Dao Quy Phi also emphasized their commitment to expand 100% electric ride-hailing services nationwide, providing “safe, convenient, and affordable transportation while helping create a greener future for Filipino communities.”
Aligned with the Electric Vehicle Industry Development Act and the government’s sustainability agenda, this partnership underscores a shared vision: to make the Philippines a hub for clean, cost-effective, and innovative transportation solutions.
With Meralco’s local expertise, V-Green’s EV infrastructure leadership, and Green GSM’s pioneering ride-hailing model, the collaboration marks a decisive shift toward a truly sustainable and future-ready mobility ecosystem for the Philippines.
