GOOD NEWS FOR CUSTOMERS AS MERALCO ANNOUNCES LOWER RATES FOR MAY. The Manila Electric Company (Meralco) announced a significant decrease of ₱0.7499 per kWh this month bringing down the overall rate for a typical household to ₱12.2628 per kWh.
“For residential customers consuming 200 kWh, they will see a decrease of around ₱150 in their total electricity bill this month. The rate reduction is due to lower generation and transmission charges,” Meralco Vice President and Head of Corporate Communications Joe R. Zaldarriaga said.
