But little did they know, the official had more in mind than a quiet retirement. It turns out, he saw a golden opportunity in the unlimited travel perks that came with the position. With business-class flights and frequent overseas trips, he took full advantage of the perks, ignoring the government’s austerity measures.
But it wasn’t just the luxury travel that raised suspicions. His bullying behavior toward staff, especially long-serving officers, became notorious. This overbearing attitude didn’t sit well with the agency’s veteran employees, who had enough of the entitled official’s antics. They banded together to figure out how to oust him.
