Building on the success of their long-standing partnership, MPower, the local retail electricity supplier of Manuel V. Pangilinan-led Manila Electric Company (Meralco), has been entrusted once again to ensure reliable power supply for key properties of the Araneta Group.
In addition to the contract renewal of ACI, Inc.’s buildings in Quezon City, MPower and Araneta Hotels entered into a new retail electricity supply agreement which now covers ibis Styles Manila, the newest hotel in Araneta City where the contract signing was held recently.
ACI is the corporate unit that owns and manages Araneta City, a dynamic hub of retail, entertainment, residential, and office spaces, while Araneta Hotels focuses on building and managing hospitality ventures within the district.
Marking a significant milestone in their 11-year collaboration, the strengthened partnership reflects both companies’ shared commitment to ensure operational excellence and contribute to economic progress.
“The Araneta Group is committed to excellent customer service and operational efficiency. Our long time partnership with MPower secures a reliable energy supply across our multiple properties, allowing us to deliver the highest level of service to our guests,” said Novotel & ibis Styles Manila Cluster General Manager Maria Manlulu-Garcia.
ACI has been one of MPower’s pioneer partners since the latter began operations on June 26, 2013. In 2018, MPower was also tapped to supply electricity to Araneta Hotels Inc. Today, most of the Araneta Group properties benefit from MPower’s tailored products and services under the Competitive Retail Electricity Market (CREM), which allows businesses with an electricity demand of at least 500 kW to choose their own power supplier.
“The enduring partnership and trust given to us in powering Araneta City inspire MPower to continuously explore new avenues for growth and innovation, ensuring we deliver even greater value to our partners,” said Meralco First Vice President and MPower Head Redel M. Domingo.
With this renewed agreement, MPower and the Araneta Group further solidify their collaboration— driving efficiency, sustainability, and business growth.
