MG Philippines has wrapped up 2024 with its highest sales to date, reaching 9,016 units sold—a record for the brand since its entry into the local market, the company said in a news release.
This achievement also places MG in the top 10 of the country’s automotive sales, finishing the year in 9th position.
The strong sales reflect the increasing trust Filipino consumers have in MG, a brand known for combining British heritage with modern design and performance.
In particular, the MG 5 sedan has captured attention, leading the 1.5-liter sub-compact sedan segment with 3,415 units sold.
Felix Jiang, president of SAIC Motor (MG Motor) Philippines, expressed his appreciation for the support from customers, dealers, and partners, which he says was key to the brand’s impressive performance in 2024.
“Surpassing 9,000 units in a single year is a great milestone for us, and we’re excited to build on this success in the coming year,” Jiang said.
Aside from the MG 5, other top-selling models such as the MG ZS and MG G50 Plus contributed significantly to the brand’s stellar results.
MG also expanded its dealer network, now with 46 locations nationwide, making it easier for more Filipinos to access their vehicles.
With plans to introduce new models, expand its dealership network, and offer enhanced customer services, MG Philippines is poised to continue its upward trajectory in 2025.
