A total of 15 airports across the country will receive a combined P7.7 billion in funding this year to modernize their infrastructure, Makati City Rep. Luis Campos Jr., vice chairperson of the House committee on appropriations, said in a news release Wednesday.
“We are counting on these upgrades to enhance the overall air travel experience for passengers, attract more tourists, support the growth of small businesses, and create new jobs,” Campos said in a statement.
Campos named the 15 airports and their corresponding allocations under the Aviation Infrastructure Program in the 2025 General Appropriations Law as follows:
- Tacloban Airport (₱2.3 billion)
- Pag-asa Island Airport (₱1.65 billion)
- Busuanga Airport (₱1 billion)
- Laoag International Airport (₱750 million)
- Bacon Airport (₱360 million)
- Virac Airport (₱280 million)
- Candon Airport (₱250 million)
- New Dumaguete Airport (₱200 million)
- New Manila International Airport (₱200 million)
- Camotes Airport (₱200 million)
- Camiguin Airport (₱180 million)
- New Zamboanga International Airport (₱130 million)
- Central Mindanao (M’lang) Airport (₱100 million)
- New Bohol Airport (₱52.1 million)

“These allocations are fully itemized in the 2025 budget,” Campos said.
Aviation infrastructure funds are primarily used to construct, rehabilitate, and improve runways, taxiways, ramps, control towers, passenger terminals, and/or acquire navigational equipment.
