Società Dante Alighieri Inc. is pleased to announce the induction of a new Board of 13 Directors, led by Ms. Maritess Tantoco Enriquez as Chairman and Dr. Hermod Allertsen as President and CEO. Both leaders bring their substantial expertise from the Philippine-Italian Association, where they serve as President and Executive Vice President, advancing their commitment to Italian cultural and language promotion in the Philippines.

This notable event was celebrated on November 9, 2024, joined by Mr. Eduardo Delgado, past President of Società Dante Alighieri Inc., who commemorated this milestone and welcomed the incoming leadership.

Founded in Rome, Società Dante Alighieri is a globally respected cultural institution dedicated to preserving and promoting Italy’s rich heritage. Since its Manila chapter’s inception in 2005, Società Dante Alighieri Inc. has been a pillar in Italian language education through the acclaimed “Dante Method” and offers internationally recognized Italian language exams. In addition, the organization engages Filipino communities through various cultural activities that cultivate appreciation and foster cross-cultural exchange.

The Philippine-Italian Association, founded in 1962, has nurtured bilateral relations for over 62 years. With an array of services—from language courses to translation, events, and retirement assistance for Italian pensioners—the association has become a trusted resource for both Filipinos and Italians in the country.

As organizations with aligned missions, Società Dante Alighieri Inc. and the Philippine-Italian Association are now set to work in close collaboration. This partnership promises to elevate cultural, educational, and social offerings to the Filipino-Italian community, ensuring sustained growth in cultural exchange, language education, and international friendship.

With the combined leadership of Ms. Tantoco Enriquez and Dr. Allertsen, Società Dante Alighieri Inc. and the Philippine-Italian Association will continue to honor the legacy of Italian culture and language in the Philippines.
