Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) was named among the Circle of Excellence awardees at the Asia CEO Awards 2024, receiving recognition for both Most Innovative Company of the Year and Sustainability Company of the Year during a ceremony held on October 8, 2024, at the Manila Marriott Grand Ballroom.
As a leading digital challenger bank, RCBC secured its place among the country’s top companies by showcasing its technological innovations, which include groundbreaking products like RCBC Pulz, RCBC DiskarTech, and RCBC ATM Go. In sustainability, the bank stands out as the first in the Philippines to pivot away from fossil fuel investments, reinforcing its commitment to green banking.
The Asia CEO Awards honors companies that demonstrate world-class management talent, especially those that innovate in globally competitive ways. The Most Innovative Company title recognizes excellence in technological advancements, while the Sustainability Company award highlights success in driving environmental progress and a solid commitment to sustainability.
These two awards add to RCBC’s growing collection of over 250 regional and global accolades, affirming its dedication to excellence and its efforts to go beyond traditional banking.
Lito Villanueva, RCBC Executive Vice President and Chief Innovation and Inclusion Officer, expressed his gratitude for the awards, describing them as a nod of approval to the bank’s countless efforts to elevate the digital banking landscape and raise the bar in the environmental protection campaign. He noted that such recognitions serve as a key motivator for the RCBC team to pursue out-of-the-box and eco-friendly solutions.
“These recognitions are seals of approval from the industry that RCBC continues to contribute to the industrial standards of technological excellence and sustainability, and in many ways, even going beyond them and setting new standards,” Villanueva said.
“A passion for excellence has always driven our team, and these honors fuel our resolve to address long-standing issues and emerging challenges. With our efforts gaining wider recognition and visibility, we are more determined than ever to deliver revolutionary and sustainable products and services,” Villanueva added.
