Globe further strengthens its commitment to enhancing connectivity in Mindanao, building a new tower in Malaybalay City and upgrading 16 sites across Bukidnon.

The site upgrades were strategically implemented, with three each in Libona, Manolo Fortich, and Quezon; two each in Malaybalay City and Valencia City; and one each in Lantapan, San Fernando, and Maramag.

These developments reinforce Bukidnon’s position as a major player in the agri-fishery and tourism sectors. With faster and more reliable internet, local businesses can leverage digital technologies to optimize operations and expand market reach as well as offer enhanced services to tourists.

Bukidnon, often referred to as the “food basket of Mindanao,” is a renowned producer of fresh fruits and vegetables that are sold abroad and is the second largest producer of corn in the country. It is home to key agricultural players like Del Monte Philippines, Inc., Lapanday Diversified Products Corporation, and Mt. Kitanglad Agri-Development Corporation.

The site upgrades will also support Bukidnon’s tourism industry. The province, known for its picturesque landscapes and attractions such as the Dahilayan Adventure Park, Lake Apo, and the Del Monte Pineapple Farm Plantation, will benefit from better digital connectivity that enhances visitor experience.

Tourists can enjoy seamless online experiences to share their travels in real time, access travel information, and stay connected with loved ones.

“We are excited to bring better connectivity to Bukidnon, a province that plays an important role in the nation’s agricultural and tourism sectors,” said Joel Agustin, Globe SVP and Head of Service Planning and Engineering .

“By expanding our network infrastructure, we are empowering local communities and businesses to thrive in a digital world and supporting regional development and economic growth.”

Network improvements in Bukidnon also align with the local government’s efforts to boost digitalization and infrastructure development. This is particularly necessary for the province’s young entrepreneurs and farmers, who are increasingly turning to digital tools to innovate and grow their businesses.

Globe’s ongoing investments in its network infrastructure are pivotal in driving socio-economic progress in Bukidnon. As connectivity improves, the province is poised to attract more investments, create jobs, and enhance the quality of life for its residents.
