Freya’s achievements in August extend beyond recognition from the BOI. The company also secured two Service Energy Operating Contracts (SEOCs) from the Department of Energy for the Isabel and Toledo Alpha Solar Power Projects. These contracts enable progress in critical pre-development activities and feasibility studies. The Isabel Solar Power Project in Leyte is projected to deliver 79.962 MW of renewable energy, while the Toledo Alpha project in Cebu is expected to generate 178.008 MWp.
In another notable development, Freya participated in a face-to-face consultative meeting hosted by the Department of Energy (DOE) on August 8, 2024. The meeting focused on the recently revised Omnibus Guidelines for Renewable Energy, outlined in Department Circular No. DC2024-06-0018. These updated guidelines are designed to facilitate more efficient project execution and support the DOE’s ambitious target of a 35% renewable energy share by 2032 and 50% by 2040. Freya Renewables presented updates on their wind energy projects, including the Pantabangan Wind Power Project, the Camiguin Onshore Wind Power Project, and the Highlands Guimaras Wind Project.
As Freya Renewables reflects on these achievements, the company remains steadfast in their commitment to driving innovation and sustainability in the renewable energy sector, contributing to a greener and more sustainable future for the Philippines.
