The Philippines’ flag carrier, Philippine Airlines (PAL) officially inked partnership with the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) on Tuesday, August 20.
Singapore Tourism Board Chief Executive Melissa Ow said that the partnership with PAL started in 2022, and this renewed ties PAL ties will launch enticing deals to explore “Singapore’s world-class gems and hidden cultural gems for Filipinos to discover and re-discover.”
“Through this partnership, we will provide travelers with great deals for airfare bundles with a wide range of experiences across Singapore. Together, we want to showcase what we call a ‘Made in Singapore Holiday’, where ordinary moments become truly extraordinary experiences,” Ow said. Ow also highlighted that PAL has been a great partner and instrumental in attracting Filipinos to find new adventures in Singapore.
Last year, Singapore welcomed nearly 700,000 Filipino tourist arrivals, making the Lion City the sixth-largest market for tourism, with an 84% recovery to 2019 pre-pandemic travelers according to STB.
As of June 2024, Singapore has welcomed around 390,000 Filipino visitors and believes that this year will finish with a strong performance.
“To our Filipino travelers and customers, we welcome you to savor, explore, and discover more in Singapore,” Ow added.
Meanwhile, PAL will also have special deals on airfare with a bundle for accommodation and experiences, attracting more first-time and frequent travelers to Singapore.
PAL president and COO, Capt. Stanley Ng, stated that this dynamic partnership with STB will share compelling stories from food, art, and tourism escapades for travelers to the island city-state.
“We will promote Singapore as a premier travel destination and fulfill our mission to connect people and provide exceptional travel experience with Philippine Airlines as a full-service airline,” said Capt. Ng.
