Celebrating its 50th year operating in the Philippines, renowned Thai fiber-cement manufacturer SHERA takes the milestone to new heights and delighted to reveal that the ₱2-billion investment and construction of its manufacturing plant in Pampanga is already 60% complete and is set to operate by the first quarter of 2025.
In the first quarter of 2024, SHERA disclosed to the media its plan to invest ₱2B and build its first manufacturing plant in the Philippines as it celebrates its 50 years of operation in the country.
Interestingly, the SHERA plant in the Philippines located at Mabalacat, Pampanga is the first overseas plant of SHERA outside Thailand. This state-of-the-art facility is set to deliver up to 240,000 tons of fiber cement.
With all hands on deck, SHERA’s executives ensure that they are on target and continually overseeing the plant’s construction with President Country Head Thunnop Jumpsari, Executive Vice President for Marketing Veerasak Kittinantakool, President Ongek Taechamahaphant, Company Director Ongon Taechamhaphant, CEO Office, Anont Taechamahaphant, and Vice President for Commercial Isabelo Dingal said that Shera puts their workers’ safety above all else by ensuring the plant is built with world-class construction materials. The facility’s walls are also lined with fire-resistant coating and will be utilizing the most advanced machines and equipment. The soon-to-open facility is strategically located in Mabalacat, which is known as Pampanga’s industrial capital.
Ongek Taechamahaphant, Chairman and Director of SHERA Public Company Limited, was pleased with the progress so far. He said, “Our Mabalacat plant is a major step of SHERA’s plan to expand further in the Philippine market. We know that once this facility is fully operational by next year, more Filipinos will easily access our eco-friendly and durable fiber cement products.”
With the Mabalacat facility opening soon, SHERA’s signature fiber cement products will become easily available to Filipino consumers. The brand’s products can be used in different capacities, from decorative wall cladding and sidings, floor decking and ceiling eaves materials and more.
