Taking advantage of her visit in the Philippines, Japan’s Foreign Minister, Ms.KAMIKAWA Yoko, held a brief meeting with Asian Development Bank (ADB), Mr. ASAKAWA Masatsugu, in the morning of July 9.
President Asakawa explained to Minister Kamikawa about ADB’s role and organizational management amid the changing international situation, considering urgent development challenges including climate change, changing socio-economic situation of ADB members, and needs of developing countries.
In response, Minister Kamikawa stated that it is important to collaborate with various actors including international organizations and work toward mobilizing new funds, and exchanged views with President Asakawa on mobilization of private sector resources for development.
