The Philippine Hotel Owners Association (PHOA) is set to hold The Philippine Tourism and Hotel Investment Summit 2024 on June 21, 2024 (Friday) at The Ballroom, New World Makati Hotel, Makati City. Considered the first of its kind, the event aims to promote tourism and hotel investments and advocate for sustainable tourism in the Philippines. Expected to draw around 250 delegates, the summit includes a Conference that will have Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco as Keynote Speaker. The Conference will have panel discussions on vital issues, emerging trends, and investment opportunities in the tourism and hotel industry.

The summit will also have an Exhibition with 30 companies showcasing a wide range of products and services including hotel equipment, energy efficiency solutions, spa and wellness offerings, and digital technology. Co-presenting the Summit is the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA), the government agency under the DOT mandated to develop, promote and supervise tourism projects in the Philippines. Other sponsors of the Summit include Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) and Tourism Promotions Board (TPB).

“This Summit is a momentous occasion for all of us in the tourism and hotel industry. It provides an excellent opportunity not only to network but to share insights and strategies towards sustainable development and growth. We are especially honored to have Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco and Chief Operating Officer Mark Lapid lead our program, ensuring the highest level of discourse and engagement with our attendees,” enthused PHOA President Arthur Lopez.

The Conference will bring together hotel owners and developers, government officials, business associations, investment groups and other tourism industry stakeholders in a platform for meaningful conversations that will shape the future of the sector. Meanwhile, the Exhibition will showcase the latest and most innovative products geared towards enhancing the development and operational efficiency of hospitality establishments across the country.

“We are excited to see the industry come together and explore the future of tourism and hospitality. The Exhibition will not only offer a glimpse into the latest trends and innovations but also foster partnerships essential for the sector’s evolution,” said COO Mark Lapid. “We hope that this event will help us promote tourism investments and increase our capacity to accommodate inbound tourists,” he added.

The Philippine Tourism and Hotel Investment Summit 2024 is poised to be a pivotal event for those invested in the growth and sustainability of the tourism and hotel industry in the Philippines. The event supports efforts of the government and the private sector to position the Philippines as a tourism powerhouse in the region.
