SMHCC expands portfolio in Phl

Executive VP of SM Hotels and Conventions Corporation, Ms. Peggy Angeles, said that more than just hotel accommodations, Lanson Place is an introductory of service apartments, underscoring the uptick of corporate travelers in the metro.

This partnership with SMHCC underscores world-class hospitality while bringing the rich and diverse life, culture, and opportunities of Pasay. She also highlighted how five years ago, it was only a vision of having 250 room units which now led to having 390 hotel and service apartment units.

In interview with THEPHILBIZNEWS, Angeles shared that SMHCC invested 3.6 billion pesos for this property. Likewise, she mentioned that SMHCC has nine hotels in the pipeline. Last month, they signed six agreements with hotels and five of those are in partnership with Radisson Hotel Group.

Angeles also mentioned that there will also be a service apartment in Clark, Pampanga. SMHCC is expanding in various areas outside the metro such as in Cavite, Laguna, Isabela, and Olongapo.

“Our expansion is to give accommodations outside of Metro Manila. On top of that, we are also expanding our SMX Convention Center – one in Cebu; [and] the size of which is almost replicating what we have here in the Mall of Asia. We also have SMX in Iloilo,” said Peggy.
