Meralco’s social development arm, One Meralco Foundation (OMF), has pledged to energize using solar power the coffee processing facility of Milalittra Farmers Agriculture Cooperative (MILFACO) in Talakag, Bukidnon.
The project, which falls under OMF’s Agriculture and Livelihood Electrification, will boost production and increase the income potential of more than 100 cooperative members coming from the Talaandig indigenous peoples who rely on this livelihood to support their families.
Members of the Talaandig tribe flew all the way from Bukidnon and joined the entire Meralco community during the ceremonial turnover of the solar PV system led by Meralco and OMF Chairman, Mr. Manuel V. Pangilinan.

Dumaquita, Talaandig tribe member Ms. May Joy Calixto, MILFACO Chairperson Mr. Reynaldo D. Besto, Talaandig tribe member Ms. Belinda Besto, OMF President and Meralco Chief CSR Officer, Mr. Jeffrey O. Tarayao, OMF Trustee and Meralco Chief Operating Officer Mr. Ronnie L. Aperocho, and OMF Trustee and Meralco Chief Revenue Officer Mr. Ferdinand O. Geluz.
