Park Inn by Radisson North EDSA, a passionate Responsible Business (RB) advocate recently organized a series of RB initiatives in their local community. Together with Ms. Deborah Haines, Senior Director Operations Southeast Asia, they carried out heartwarming activities sharing the true meaning of Christmas.
It started with a Linen Donation and Feeding Activity at the Department of Social Welfare Development (DSWD) Reception and Study Center for Children, a local orphanage that housed 49 children, ages 0-11 years old. The hotel also gave toys, plushies, and school supplies to bring joy and hope to the kids. This activity was not only to provide material support but also to show that these children are loved and cared for.
The activity was followed by a Pillow Donation at the Women’s Correctional in Camp Karingal, Quezon City. Empowering the Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL), the donation will allow women to become resourceful as the pillow fiberfill content can be repurposed for toy stuffing and other crafting activities, further contributing to their skill development.
Continuing their mission, the team held a Linen Donation at Barangay Sto. Cristo Women’s Livelihood Center, where they recognized the importance of supporting women’s empowerment and economic livelihood. The donated linens will be used to make pillowcases, uniforms, and tote bags.
Through these community activities, the RB volunteers embraced the true spirit of Christmas to those who need it most.
