Celebrating the mysticism of the holiday season, Conrad Manila brings a ‘Magical Christmas’ that transforms the opulent lobby of this luxurious hotel into a winter wonderland!
In a Christmas lighting ceremony held on November 14 at Conrad Hotel Manila Main Lobby located on the third floor, the event commenced with a delightful cocktail reception at the C Lounge, setting the stage for a truly memorable evening with special guests.
Mr. Fabio Berto, General Manager of Conrad Manila set the tone with his heartwarming Welcome Remarks saying, “We want to share with you the joy of the season and spend a special moment to bask in our genuine friendship [and] mutual trust.”
GM Berto also underscored the commitment of Conrad’s ‘Travel With Purpose’ which is part of its corporate social responsibility program. This is done to the communities that they serve and the mission is to feed, clothe, and give homes to children and marginalized women for 30 days.
“This Christmas is extra special [with our] dedication to serve you, our guests,” he added.
It was also an illustrious gathering graced by notable personalities including Pasay District Representative Congressman Hon. Antonino-Calixto, Mayor Hon. Imelda Calixto-Rubiano of Pasay City, and business leader Hans T. Sy, Chairman of the executive committee of SM Prime Holdings. Their presence undeniably added grandeur to an already night of allure.
Honoring Excellence with Conrad’s Wonders
The spectacular evening resonated with captivating musical performances that enthralled the audience. From Tchaikovsky’s excerpts from The Nutcracker to soul-stirring renditions of Defying Gravity, A Million Dreams, and the timeless O Holy Night, talents like Bernie Pasamba and the Music Masters, theater performer Jasmine Fitzgerald, and the Filipino all-male vocal group Qu4tro elevated the festive spirit of Christmas in the five-star luxury hotel. (PS: Stephen Schwartz’s ‘Defying Gravity’ will surely linger on my playlist, resonating with the spirit of this magical affair.)
The venue was adorned with misty blue and shimmering silver decorations that made the reception truly fabulous. Conrad treated its guests to a delightful gastronomic experience and presented a mouthwatering delectable array of seasonal specialties and savory delights ranging from hearty roasts of beef, chicken, and pork to divine desserts’ colorful take and taste stood out. Among them, the ‘Christmas strawberry macaron’ sweet treat was my personal favorite, blending such meringue perfection with a bite of the delightful crunch of candied sugar and white chocolate.
Adding to the splendid celebration, the masterful bartender crafted a holiday signature cocktail which I personally requested. The Mistletoe Magic Mule drink is definitely a must-try!
A blend of Campari’s bold notes, zesty lemon, golden honey, charming pink hues, and the frothy elegance of aquafaba created a festive libation that enchanted my taste buds, promising a spirited celebration with bittersweet flavor on every sip. Some guests also appreciated the view of Manila Bay and the bright night sky while enjoying their food & drinks.
