With this climate, the land tends to have free-draining soils well suited to growing superior barley grass crops,” Hope shared.
Hope explained how their farmers spend a great deal of time learning and understanding the techniques for growing barley. “Our farmers are also trained to keep our barley grass in their best shape from harvesting to drying. When we harvest them, the leaf is cut and delivered to the dryer as quickly as possible. The drying process reduces moisture content and stabilizes the barley leaf as a safe and nutritious food product.
