Like buds of flowers that waiting to bloom, the Panagbenga 2023 filled the country’s “Summer Capital” after 3 years of hiatus with colors and festivities as Panagbenga Grand Street Dancing Parade and Grand Float Parade finally kicked off last Saturday, February 25.

There were 11 festival dance groups and 17 cultural dance groups that joined the Grand Street Dancing Parade. While four drum-and-lyre from elementary school contingents participated to provide beautiful music that was enjoyed by thousands of tourists who went up to Baguio to witness this much-awaited tradition.

With a theme of  “A Renaissance of Wonder and Beauty,” the Panagbenga 2023 proves that Baguio will remain the favorite destination of both local and international tourists. The Baguio Flower Festival Foundation Inc. (BFFFI) takes the helm of this event and the officials from the foundation are hoping to bring back the vibrance of Baguio and bolster local tourism and have more tourists visiting the Summer Capital beyond the Flower Festival events.

The celebration of Panagbenga does not end with the parades last weekend, tourists can still visit Baguioo and enjoy the landscaping competition and exhibition at the Melvin Jones Football Ground from February 27 to March 5.
