There’s no stopping the bouncing back of the tourism industry in the Philippines as Filipinos and foreign residents in the Philippines started their adventure in the wonderful and enchanting destinations in the country.
Cognizant of the revenge travel, the Hotel Sales and Marketing Association (HSMA) and the Philippine Tour Operators Association, Inc. (PHILTOA) inked a historical partnership on January 30, 2023, at the Manila Marriott Hotel in Pasay City to kick-off preparations for the upcoming PHILTOA-HSMA Travel Exchange 2023 (or TravEX), scheduled on March 28 to 29.
This partnership is set to bolster domestic tourism and would accelerate the much-needed recovery in the localities which were badly hit by the pandemic. With the opening of the borders and economy, and business as usual to all companies and tour operators, TRAVEX will not just boost domestic tourism but also foster deeper and better appreciation of the countries tourist destinations.
Furthermore, the event promises to be the biggest business-to-business (B2B) platform for hotels, resorts, tour operators, and travel agencies this year. With revenge travel in full swing among Filipinos, the event opens opportunities for HSMA and PHILTOA members to create the synergies they need to boost tourism in their respective localities and develop exciting new experiences for the domestic market.
