Globe also held a fun day of giving back at the Enchanted Kingdom on September 17 as part of the 917 GDay celebration.

With the pandemic receding and people eager to go back to normal, Globe is slowly reintroducing its on ground brand events to give customers a different kind of experience.  Prior to the pandemic, Globe would host exciting events to feature local and international artists, engage audiences for new product offers, or celebrate new partners.

GET electric buses were deployed to ferry festival goers at G Music Fest bring sustainability flavor

Last month, Globe hosted the G Music Fest and the 917 #ExtraGdayEveryday festivities which gathered thousands of fans and customers in Makati City and Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

With the resumption of on ground activities, Globe is also wary of the return of signal jamming incidents, an experience familiar to people who participate in large events.

In fact last month, Globe’s network security was able to monitor and thwart attempts to jam mobile phone signals in the on-ground venues of its 917 #ExtraGDayEveryday festivities. Through vigilance and swift action, Globe’s security team halted attempts to spoil the fun at 917 GDay sites on September 17, a day marking Globe’s iconic 0917 mobile number prefix.

At the Circuit Events Ground in Makati and the Enchanted Kingdom in Sta. Rosa, City, instances of Globe customers suddenly receiving spam texts from a rival network containing data offers were reported.

Weak to no signal levels were also reported in both venues for a few minutes before apparent signal jamming attempts were intercepted by Globe network security, which quickly restored connectivity.

Both events went smoothly despite these apparent jamming attempts, and Globe customers enjoyed the biggest GDay celebration yet.

The G Music Fest drew an estimated 6,000 spectators at the Circuit Events Ground Makati for a day of great music and fun at experiential booths, bringing home Globe freebies along with new memories.  The event featured Thai singer Phum Viphurit, K-Pop group bugAboo, whose G Music Fest appearance was their first time performing live in the Philippines, and top Filipino acts such as KAIA, Matthaios, The Juans, Unique Salonga, and I Belong to the Zoo.

Festival goers were also safely ferried in and out of the venue through free rides on GET electric buses deployed for the event.

In Sta. Rosa City, Globe led a successful and exclusive celebration with valued enterprise customers at the Enchanted Kingdom. At the #MagicalGDay event, Globe treated guests to fun rides, exciting booths and raffle prizes that featured partner brands and Globe Business solutions.
