Including Stevie® Awards for Great Employers and Stevie® International Business Awards

Leading digital solutions platform Globe reaped 13 accolades at the 2022 Stevie® Awards for Great Employers and the Stevie® International Business Awards in recognition of its unwavering dedication to keeping employees enabled and empowered amid the pandemic.

It bagged two Gold awards – Employer of the Year and Company of the Year (Telecommunications) – for engagement initiatives under the Alagang Globe program.  Alagang Globe was recognized for its life-enabling innovations such as the DUDE (Digital Usher for Disasters and Emergencies) and EVA (Employee Virtual Assistant) bots, and the Globe Lab, which provides COVID-19 testing, to name a few.

Globe also received three Silver awards for Achievement in Internal Communications, Most Innovative Deployment of Human Resources Technologies, and Most Valuable Corporate Response.

Another Silver for Internal Communications Professional of the Year was bestowed on Mika Ostonal, Globe’s Employee Programs and Communications Head, for her dedication to keeping employees safe and informed even while working apart.

The company also hauled seven Bronze awards, including Achievement in Human Resources for various HR initiatives in the face of new ways of working.  Also recognized were Globe officers behind many contributions to the #AlagangGlobe brand of caring for people including Ato Jiao, who was recognized as Chief HR Officer, and Nico Bambao as the Most Valuable HR Professional of the Year and Thought Leader of the Year. Anna Manlapit and Avery Banta were likewise recognized as HR Executives of the Year.

Globe’s Human Resources team was also named HR Team of the Year for strengthening its employee care programs and digitizing empathy by creating bots and innovative products that cater to the holistic needs of the workforce.

“The innovative ways the organization drives its message during the COVID-19 pandemic is indeed remarkable. When an organization fosters a culture where employee feedback is essential, it is ascertained that this is the right way of doing service,” one of the Stevie judges said.

“All of these awards demonstrate Globe’s dedication to serving its employees despite lockdowns, spiking COVID-19 cases, and strict health protocols through innovations that exemplify our Alagang Globe Program. It also reinforces our commitment to uphold a culture of care and compassion and further substantiate our purpose of treating people right to create a Globe of Good,” said Jiao.

The Stevie Awards For Great Employers and Stevie International Business Awards recognize the world’s best companies to work for, including their HR teams, professionals and programs that greatly contribute to creating a workplace that fosters employee engagement and development.
