Highlights multi-awarded UK Gin Brands and partners with the country’s oldest and number 1 selling gin Ginebra San Miguel

After two years of hiatus due to the pandemic, the British Chamber of Commerce Philippines is back to celebrate the the World Gin Day. And for the gin lovers, there is no better way to celebrate it after missing this most awaited event for two years with the multi-awarded British Gin brands.
In partnership with the Ginebra San Miguel, the British Chamber’s World Gin Day will be on June 30, 2022, at Dusit Thani Hotel, Makati City at 6 pm.Â
Filipinos are known biggest gin drinkers in the world. Considered one of the fastest-growing alcohol markets in the world, the Philippine gin market has a total consumption of over 22 million cases per year, according to the International Wine and Spirits Research (IWSR).
For British gin distillers, the Philippine market has always been attractive. Seeking potential business partners, eight confirmed British brands have sent in their gin bottles for sampling. The participating multi-awarded British includes Chatsworth Gin, House of Elrick, Forest Distillery, Bolney Estate Gin, Silent Pool, Shivering Mountain, Trevethan and Sacred Gin.
Considering the improved pandemic situation, the Chamber aims to bring its valued Members, cherished friends, and gin enthusiasts for camaraderie and appreciation of the tradition of celebrating World Gin Day. At the same time, the Chamber is also supporting the British gin brands to find their potential local business partners in the event.
Additional highlight of the activity is the Chamber’s fourth-year bartending contest. Participating bartenders are from notable hotels and restaurants including Dusit Thani Hotel, Holiday Inn, SawSaw/Cafe Fleur Restaurant, Joy Nostalg and Raffles & Fairmont.
For the Chamber’s part, it will continue to host events and activities which will support even further the development of the Philippine-British business community.
