“The government of the Republic of Korea congratulates President-elect, Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr. on his election as the 17th President of the Republic of the Philippines,” in a statement sent to Media Viber group of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Philippines this morning, May 16.
“We look forward to close cooperation between the two new governments to further deepen our friendship and partnership,” the statement said.
Both Korea and the Philippines have established a strong relationship for more than 70 years.
