As Russia steps up military attack on Mariupol, Volnovakha and other Ukrainian cities, the Ukrainian government lamented the Russian government for violating the ceasefire agreement while the two countries are under negotiation.
In the statement sent by the Ukrainian government, they condemned Russia for wantonly violating the agreement on the safe passage of Ukrainian civilians and wounded. However, the sustained attack against the civilians from the armed forces of the Russian Federation with missile and bomb strikes continues to endanger the lives of around 450,000 innocent people.
Furthermore, the bombardment by Moscow forces makes it impossible to open humanitarian corridors for the safe evacuation of civilians and the delivery of medicines and food.
The allegations of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation that it is the Ukrainian authorities who are hindering the departure of residents of the cities under siege are not true and constitute disinformation to justify the criminal actions of the Russian armed forces.
The Russian side continues to ignore the appeals of international humanitarian organizations, in particular, the International Committee of the Red Cross to implement a ceasefire in order to create safe conditions for the departure of civilians and wounded.
