MPT South Kicks Off ‘Drayberks’, ‘Bayani Ka’ Road Safety Program For 2022

Metro Pacific Tollways South Management Corp. (MPT South), a subsidiary of Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC), the toll road development arm of Metro Pacific Investment Corporation (MPIC), kicks off its road safety advocacy program for 2022 through an online learning session of its Drayberks and BayaniKa programs for one of its community partners, the Philippine Multimodal Transport and Logistics Association Inc. (PMTLAI).

DrayBerks, a social advocacy of MPT South, to educate motorists on road safety and show them how they can take advantage of the safety features of the expressway; while BayaniKa, short for “Bayani ng Kalsada”, is one of the enviro-safe programs of MPT South to address relevant social issues. It also aims to reduce and prevent RA 2000 violations on expressways.

The event was attended by different members of the association who expressed their gratitude to the toll road company. 

The multi-sectoral road safety advocacy programs of Metro Pacific Tollways South Management Corp. (MPT South) called Drayberks and BayaniKa aim to educate the community about road safety

“Ako po ay nagpapasalamat sa MPT South para sa karagdagang kaalaman patungkol sa mga regulasyon sa expressway at pagtuturo kung paano ba masiguro ang kaligtasan namin habang nagmamaneho” said Jenielyn Deluso, Secretary General of Philippine Multimodal Transport and Logistics Association Inc. 

“Drayberks and BayaniKa program play a strong role in ensuring road safety especially now that we are expecting continued increase in traffic count now that we have eased to Alert Level 1. We look forward in partnering with our communities, to create more road safety advocates through our programs, ” said MPT South Spokesperson and  Assistant Vice President for Communications and Stakeholders Management Ms. Arlette V. Capistrano.

MPT South also announced that it plans to roll out more Drayberks and BayaniKa sessions for 2022 through partnership with key stakeholders and transport groups, especially for communities along its expressways: Manila-Cavite Toll Expressway (CAVITEX) and Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX). 

In 2019, DrayBerks won a Silver Anvil for the 55th Anvil Awards of Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP), the country’s premier organization for Public Relations professionals.

Aside from CALAX and CAVITEX, MPTC also holds the concession rights for North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), NLEX Connector Road, Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX), and Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX) in Cebu.
