Valuing the importance of the health and safety of its team members and guests, Solaire Resort and Casino started rolling out its vaccination program for its Team Members in the last week of June.

Currently, all who are involved in the day-to-day operations have been fully vaccinated, while dependents are being scheduled for their initial dose.

In the email to THEPHILBIZNEWS of Joy Wassmer, Solaire Resort & Casino Director for Public Relations and Communications, there are more than 4,600 employees that will be covered by their vax program. Apart from their employees, five family members of their employees will be given free vaccines by the company as part of Solaire’s herd immunity program under Solaire Is Safe For You and also to support the government’s goal in both health and economic recovery.

Solaire, together with the corporate foundation of its sister company International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI), had procured Moderna vaccines for its team members as well as five of their dependents at no cost to the team members.

The Solaire – ICTSI Foundation Inc. Vaccination Center (SIVC) located with Solaire, was the venue for the rollout of the vaccination program for team members beginning last week of June.  Selected areas of The Theatre at Solaire were converted to accommodate a robust vaccination process that supports both drive-thru and on-site appointments.

The SIVC vaccine journey makes use of the latest in mobile technology developed by Zuellig Pharma, utilizing QR codes embedded with Team Member information for a quick, efficient and safe vaccine administration.

The vaccination program is only part of Solaire’s masterplan for recovery.

Since 2020, team members, integral to Solaire’s operations, have continuously and regularly undergone polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests – more commonly known as swab tests – which were initiated by Solaire to make sure that each team member is not a carrier of the virus and does not pose any risk to their own families or to others.  More importantly, it is an act of social responsibility during a time when the public sector needs the assistance of the private sector the most.

Lauded for its rigorous standards on cleanliness, Solaire has moreover become the benchmark for industries after local and international councils awarded the property with notable distinctions for its hygiene and sanitation measures made more stringent to meet the new global criteria on safety. Its campaign “Solaire Is Safe For You” showcases the meticulous protocols undertaken by each team member to ensure that the property, its guests, and other team members remain safe and protected from the continuing threat of the COVID-19 virus.
