BCCP continuously engages with government, local businesses and business groups in the Philippines and UK to forge a longstanding PH-UK partnership for investment and trade relations. During the digital event, BCCP Executive Director and Trustee Chris Nelson asserted its commitment to discuss additional and potential business opportunities to closely work together with the Healthcare Information Management Association of the Philippines (HIMAP).
Jeffrey Williams, HIMAP Chairman, provided an overview of the IT-BPM Industry. Philippines’ IT-BPM services market grew by 1.8% in headcount and 1.4% in revenue in 2020. In separate news, the IT-BPM industry is projected to grow between 3.2 percent and 5.5 percent in revenues and between 2.7 percent to 5 percent in employment the IT and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) reported. The Healthcare Information Management Services (HIMS) segment of the industry is also expected to post the highest revenue and full-time-equivalent (FTE) headcount growth range for 2019 to 2022.
Following the successful virtual information session, Nelson finished with a remark noting that the British Chamber is keen to collaborate further with HIMAP to provide market awareness targeting the British companies to invest further in the Philippines’ IT-BPM industry.
