n its continuing efforts to aid medical frontliners curb the spread of COVID-19, Okada Manila, in cooperation with the Philippine Hotel Owners Association, Inc. (PHOA), donated much needed supplies such as linens, pillows, mats, robes, towels, and other sanitation implements to the Philippine Red Cross (PRC). These items will be used by the PRC for its quarantine facilities around Metro Manila.

Okada Manila’s donation consists of 2,325 items totaling to 100 boxes. Due to the rise of COVID cases in the metro, the PRC established multiple isolation wards in the country. This initiative has helped COVID patients receive proper medical attention and lessen overcrowding in hospitals and other medical facilities.

Okada Manila Senior Vice President for Hotel Operations Ivaylo Ivanov shares, “Okada Manila and the hospitality industry is always willing to help our medical frontiners care for those affected by COVID-19. We are very grateful to our medical frontliners and we hope that thi s donation contributes to the quality of care and comfort received by those in the isolation facilities.”

Since 2020, Okada Manila, through the Okada Foundation, has been at the forefront of supporting medical frontliners and those severely affected by the health crisis. The Okada Foundation gave a grant of Php 280 million to the PRC, Philippine Heart Center, Lung Center of the Philippines, and LGUs all over the Philippines to aid in COVID relief efforts.
