The majestic Bohol’s five-star resort proactively started its rapid antigen testing for its employees, primarily for their protection and assurance for a safe working environment and at the same time complementing the government’s thrust to help curb the spread of COVID-19.
According to World Health Organization (WHO), Rapid antigen tests detect viral proteins (known as antigens). The test samples are collected from the nose and currently authorized to be performed on nasopharyngeal or nasal swab specimens. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted emergency use for antigen tests that can identify COVID-19. Rapid Antigen Tests are immunoassays that detect the presence of a specific viral antigen, which implies current viral infection.
