As the change in the way of banking and lifestyle evolve wherein more branchless banking transactions are now made available online due the fact that it is safe, fast, and convenient, the Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) deploys a “digital concierge” feature at the service of its web users 24/7 for its depositors.
With this, the valued customers of the Yuchengco-led bank may now request for bank certifications, replace damaged ATM cards, reset personal identification numbers (PIN), and make a foreign or local telegraphic transfer through RCBC online banking.
“RCBC expands its digital banking services in response to the need of the market whose financial practices are moving online at record pace,” says Eugene S. Acevedo, RCBC president and chief executive officer.
These transactions are completed entirely online except for the claiming of requested cards and documents which are conveniently picked up in one’s preferred RCBC branch.
“The pandemic and the resulting community quarantine in the Philippines have limited the physical mobility of individuals and increased preference for contactless transactions. We have seen a sharp decrease in branch activities but exponential increase online. Our priority is to bridge identified gaps between the two. Users can expect additional services that will be provided by our digital concierge,” Acevedo adds.
To avail of the services of RCBC’s digital concierge, users only need to log into the rcbconlinebanking.com and select “other services.” They shall be required to provide the details of their account and other related information. An RCBC representative then reaches out to the user when the request has been processed.
“Digital banking is what we call the ‘now normal’ and RCBC is glad to take the lead in the transition of more transactions from the brick-and-mortar branch to its online counterpart,” says Lito Villanueva, RCBC executive vice president and chief inclusion and innovation officer. “Even as the COVID-19 vaccinations usher in the end of the pandemic, the shift to online transactions will be permanent.”
“RCBC’s online and mobile banking offers the most extensive digital banking features in the country today. And our customers and would-be customers would be more delighted to experience more new features this year,” Villanueva added.
RCBC is one of the leading universal banks accelerating digital transformation in the Philippines. It was judged in 2020 as the Philippines’ best digital bank by the Asiamoney and Alpha Southeast Asia, among other global and regional recognitions. Its digital products include RCBC mobile and online banking, handheld ATM Go mobile point-of-sale terminals, and DiskarTech, among others. DiskarTech was recognized as the 2020 breakout finance app in the country by App Annie, a global data analytics firm covering all mobile applications worldwide.
