For several years, the Philippines has caught the attention of foreign tourists given the various tourist attractions that our country has to offer.
While the world stood still after the global pandemic, travels were either canceled or postponed, but the efforts being exerted by the stakeholders to promote the Philippines to sustain the awareness did not falter.
Speaking to THEPHILBIZNEWS, Joebert Opulencia, President of USA & Orientours Co., Ltd. based in New York City, urged Filipinos and friends to vote the Philippines for the being World’s Leading Country Tourism Destination and the World’s Leading Tourist Board.
“We need to support the entire hospitality industry,” Opulencia pointed out.
“I believe that it will be nice that the Philippines to be the talk of the town. As you can see, on my personal Facebook Page, I tried doing all the noise to keep the Philippines at the top of their mind when the better days come. That I am doing even before this variant came,” he explained.
“We must make noise, our neighboring countries are doing it, and one simple way is to remind our friends and other potential tourists that, “Hey, the Philippines is here, please keep us in your mind,” he added.
“In the 10th Uzakrota Travel Awards wherein the Philippines is vying to be the world’s Leading Country Tourism Destination and the World’s Leading Tourist Board, categories #36 and #37, respectively. It is so simple, and we Filipinos can help our industry and country because the “Best of the Year” competition will be determined by public vote which we organized as the Uzakrota team, which keeps the pulse of the travel industry with both travel news and events organized since its establishment,” Opulencia concluded.
The Uzakrota Travel Awards is organized by one of the 10 largest tourism organizations in the World. Travel agencies, tourism tech firms, hotels, agencies serving the tourism industry and media from Turkey and the countries from the close circle will be the most effective tourism summit of Turkey as in the past years.
The Philippines has been attending the Uzakrota Travel Summit and last December 19, the Philippine delegates attended this from the Department of Tourism and the Embassy of Philippines in Turkey.
