What I like about President Trump
It is the accomplishments of President Trump which I appreciated in what he had done for America in such a short time. He is a person, I believe, whom the Americans should have supported instead of the way he was maltreated with “impeachment” which ate up so much of his time which otherwise could have been spent in putting America in order. President Trump had inherited an unstable country because of his predecessors who tried to rule the world instead of putting in order America first. Things might revert back to what it was before, God willing not.
President Trump’s “America First” was what America needed for how can one rule a country in disarray? A leader must first do “house cleaning,” linisin muna ang sariling bakuran. Not being a politician, Mr. Trump was criticized and misunderstood. He was a bit inflexible which politician’s resort to in an hypocritical way.
Politicians in many ways are a pampered lot. They feel important and resorts to ego-tripping. But President Trump is not the type who would waste his time playing “footsies” with politicians. I wouldn’t either. Politicians, more often than not, feel important o nagpapaimportante. Nakakalimutan nila na politicians are servants of the people. Magpa-alila kayo. Hindi kayo nandidiyan para maghari at alipin kayo ng mamamayan. Kayo ang magpa-alila. Ako nagpa-alila when I was in public service.
I have served two controversial agencies of the government. The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) for six years; and Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), twice over for thirteen years.
It was difficult imposing discipline to a very undisciplined film industry. Ang daming pilosopo at mga pasikat na akala nila dahil sinasamba sila sa pelikula, everybody had to bow to them. Not me, despite the rallies and the criticisms I was subjected to, I taught them to follow the law. There was no two-ways about it. Either they follow the law or suffer the consequences. Ultimately, they found out that the law must be followed, or suffer an X-rating for their films.
In due time, they came to realize that following the law would be beneficial for them for indecent movies only cater to a few, comparatively speaking. Mas marami namang disenteng tao sa ating bayan kaysa sa mga sira ang ulo. Ultimately, by following the law, they made more money on decent movies kasi pati mga bata kasama ang mga magulang at mga lolo at lola started patronizing the moviehouses which they were avoiding because of indecent films. Sino ba namang matino ang manonood na baboy na mga pelikula?
Going back to President Trump’s accomplishments. Obviously, he is a disciplinarian. He has a mind of his own; and was right most of the time. According to his children, their father was a disciplinarian in their growing-up years. No alcohol, no cigarettes and NO DRUGS, the common addicting vices all over the world.
President Trump promised to “clean the swamp.” He did. There were too many lobbyists in Washington D.C. that my friends and former classmates in the U.S. were telling me also their admiration for President Trump for stopping the lobbyists from handling “extra pennies” to politicians. The “lagay” system existed. That was taken away. Corrupt politicians usually availed of. Very third world country!
Next, President Trump lowered the exorbitant prices of medicine in the United States. That’s a very pro-people deed. But it angered the pharmaceutical companies. He spoke his mind for he is not a hypocrite. He did not care for stupid criticisms. He just went on using his mind and gut-feel; and he was right most of the time. Most importantly, he brought back God to America, based on the Constitutional Right of freedom of religion which was taken away by the previous administration.
Since time immemorial, the U.S. was the “breastfeeder” of the many nations of the world. In many ways, President Trump started rationalizing the effectiveness of the heavy drain of American funds. He started cutting on some contributions that he felt were ineffective such as, offhand, the WHO and the so-called Climate Change that did not help stop the storms, cyclones, typhoons and many other disasters that occur year in and year out.
Of course, it angered the many other nations for the contributions of the United States every year was the biggest contributor as it was with the WHO which President Trump felt failed in warning the entire world about the Coronavirus/Covid 19 on time.
One of the most remarkable decisions President Trump made which no other president even bothered to do is the border Wall between the U.S. and Mexico. It did so much harm to America as it was in terms of controlling drugs, illegal entrants from the Latin American countries of all kinds of people that brought to America all kinds of vices that the U.S. did not need. Even criminals had access to enter America. The much abused border needed tighter control for a country without a border is not a country. Will the incoming administration relax immigration laws again?
Whoever spoused the abortion law in the U.S. did so much wrong to the country. America did not need to “import” workers who brought in more trouble than good. Without the abortion law which President Trump opposed for he is pro-life, the U.S. population could have replenished its working force by itself. Canada had faltered in this aspect as well that it is grasping for workers from other lands which is actually difficult to assimilate. But the biggest tragedy that happened in America was when the past administration allowed American manufacturers to move on to China. It caused unemployment; the intellectual properties of American products copied and/or imitated. The loss cannot be quantified.
I can say that President Trump was right, again, in withdrawing from the Climate Change organization. First, they have not proven anything. So many experts in the world have spoken in the Madrid Conference last December 2019 that there is no solution as what the Climate Change advocates which that child Greta was hysterical about, following Al Gore’s obsessions.
I repeat what the experts said in the Madrid Conference held last December 2 to 13, 2019: Dr. Robert Balling said that “The IPCC notes that no significant acceleration in the rate of sea level rise during the 20th century has been detected.” Dr. Lucka Bogataj: “Rising levels of airborne carbon dioxide don’t cause global temperatures to rise…” Dr. John Christy: “…scientists involved with the IPCC do not agree that global warming is occurring…” Dr. Richard Courtney said that empirical evidence strongly indicates that “anthropogenic global warming hypothesis is wrong.” Dr. Judith Curry: “I cannot endorse the IPCC because I don’t have confidence in the process.” Dr. Willem de Lange: “…There is no evidence to support the hypothesis that runaway catastrophic climate change is due to human activities.” Dr. Chris de Freitas: “…that carbon dioxide is a major driver of global climate is being questioned…” Dr. Eigil Friis-Christensen said that the IPCC refused to consider the sun’s effect on Earth’s climate…”
Greta Thunberg should have been present. She could have learned a thing or two from experts who doubt what others claim; and what Greta has been nagging us about which remains to be proven.
To sum it up, Jyar@JinkonYu said: “… Natural disasters will never disappear.”
Remember, the situation in the Middle East, in North Korea, and the world as a whole, is so much more peaceful compared to what it was in the past U.S. administration with so much killings and loss of American soldiers’ lives. It was war, war, war. In the short Trump presidency, the world is more peaceful; and few American soldiers sacrificed.
President Trump wanted to bring them all back home – alive!
I will say it again: America lost the best President they needed in these times.
